Exstudent functions as a social network and brings together students who complete their training abroad. Through our application, they will be able to meet people according to several criteria such as their nationality, their mother tongue or even the course of their studies.
We are five collaborators who have each focused on improving the living conditions of foreign students. To do this, we have all made the following Mindmaps:
In an increasingly globalised world, more and more students want to obtain international training and then go to foreign universities as part of their studies. In 2016-2017, more than 300,000 of them came to study in France. For example, in the specific case of our school, EM Lyon, 40% of the students are international and more than 80 nationalities are represented. This is indicative of the importance of these people in different institutions around the world.
However, the latter often encounter difficulties in integrating into the country of their studies. It is not easy to arrive in a country that we do not know and that we are left to ourselves. The hardest part is sometimes having the opportunity to build relationships with other students who are present.
Thus, the purpose of our application is precisely to overcome this difficulty by connecting all these students who struggle to meet other people in order to integrate themselves on the same level in the best ways.
Our target is quite broad and we expect to have as many potential customers as possible. These are of course students who go abroad for any period of time. We are convinced that our service will prove useful to this large clientele, which would offer us many opportunities.
The operation of the application is simple. The user first creates an Exstudent coaccount via the platform. Once done, he will enter his characteristics: his country of origin, his mother tongue and the studies he is following. Then, all he has to do is search for other students according to these criteria, a list will be provided and he will have the opportunity to contact them directly.
